Bought a Moleskine notebook tooday. I have always thought that they were a little pricey, but I was in the mood. Here is why I bought it: when I am on a date with my beloved we always go to Barnes and Noble. I grab a stack of photography magazines and then I pull out some scrap of paper when I see a web site that I want to go visit, or I just send myself a message (SMS to e-mail) so that I can see it later. The problem is that I forget to go to the sites half the time and need to clear out the e-mail inbox. So, I now have one of these neat little books to make my notes in. If it was good enough for Van Gogh and the father of Indiana Jones (see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) then I suppose that it is good enough for me!
Hannity.com# Where would I be without internet radio! I live in an area where they play two kinds of music, County and Western. Talk radio just doesn't happen here. Thank goodness for online streaming.

New York Daily News - World & National Report - Teresa: Abortion ends a life Here is a perfect example of a Drudge Link. At first thought it looks like a non-issue. "Abortion Ends Life". Duh!Isn't that the purpose. But then I realized the significance of the statement. She is a democrat. Democrats aren't suppose to believe in the sanctity of life (unless it is an animal). This is a pretty shocking story for a party that is in turmoil.
DRUDGE REPORT 2004 There are times when I wonder why someone hasn't shot Matt Drudge. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and I am glad that courage to report some of the things that he does. But if I were him I wouldn't sleep well at night.

The Digital Life
Tried to do a remote blog and it didn't work. Not sure why.
The Digital Life
Just doing a little test here.
Starting Over
Thanks to the great advise of my brother Barry for telling me not to sweat what to do with my site and just do it.

Had an amazing breath of fresh air today (Sunday). We visited the church where Barry and family attend and heard the best preaching that I have heard in YEARS! This guy doesn't download his sermons off the net (or subscribe to a service, sorry to spoil it many of you). I learned more in 30 minutes than I have learned in the combined last two years, with the exception of a couple of great events that I have attended (Promise Keepers and I Still Do). The guy never quoted Bob Russell! It was refreshing. He had a really unusual style of preaching, it was expository! The preacher was finishing the last of Ephesians, something that had taken him a year and a half to complete. Can't wait until next week.

I remember many a year ago when I was in Bible college. I had the blessing of attending two great colleges and they only taught the expository style of preaching. Whatever happened to that? It seems that the preachers of today boldly inform their congregations that they are going to "borrow" the subject matter from the latest great Christian author. Prayer of Jabez, When God Builds a Church, The Purpose Driven Life, (and even the table of contents from a hymnal). Where is the preaching of the Word of God?
