Caught in the waves. As a natural optimist I tend to want to only report the good news. When people ask how things are the answer is always "Fantastic!". For that reason I haven't been writing much lately. Right now I am caught in the waves of life, being tossed to and fro, without much that I can do to control it. I am not complaining mind you, it is just a fact of life. A year ago I would be sitting in a hotel room right now thinking about my family and working on the latest greatest novel or taking pictures in whatever city I happened to be in. Tonight I write from the comfort of my recliner with my family. I am broke, but I am with my family.
The new business has been a LOT more difficult than I would have imagined. I thought that there would be a lot fo training, there has been none to date except that which I have sought out on my own. There have been promises of training but those promises are now hollow words. The person who's responsibility for my training canceled tomorrow. This is the third time that I have been told that we would have training and it still hasn't happened. I am through with that person and have sought someone to do the training and I am now proceeding without him.
This weekend I move to a new office. It is a lot smaller, and the color is horrible, but it is a lot less expensive and I can throw some paint on the walls easily enough. The location is a mile closer to the house, but with the extra couple of lights I doubt that it will really make much difference in the 35 minute daily commute.
Enough for now, I will try to keep up with this more later.
