Monday, January 22, 2007 Flicker Flight: I have shown some pictures of stationary Yellow Shafted Flickers before (one here), but this is the first time that I have been able to catch one in flight to show the yellow in their wings. I was trying to catch them earlier but as I raised my camera the dog barked and they took flight. So I waited a while (and waited for the dog to fall asleep) and then smacked on the window when I was ready. They obliged me.
